Dental implants are the gold standard in modern tooth replacement technology. From replacement of a single missing tooth to extensive reconstruction and replacement, dental implants offer the healthiest and most permanent solution.
Rather than just replacing the crown or the visible part of the tooth, implants replace the tooth root that is essential in maintaining a comfortable, healthy, functioning smile. Implants are made of either titanium or acrylic, as these are the most biocompatible materials that easily fuse to the jawbone and stimulate new bone and tissue growth around the implant.

Dental implants allow you to eat, speak and smile naturally while maintaining the health of your mouth and jawbone. Implants can securely replace a single tooth or stabilize dentures. Implant supported dentures give denture patients freedom from removable dentures, adhesives, and fear of teeth slipping out of place.
Dr. Thompson offers cutting edge techniques and the latest materials when preparing and placing dental implants and has completed over 1400 hours of continuing education and training in advanced implant studies.
Did you know that millions of Americans suffer from dental anxiety? Fear of the dentist is a very harsh reality for many patients, and we’re here to help you get the care you need, comfortably.
If dental anxiety is keeping you away from the dental chair, we want you to know that you’re in good hands in the compassionate care of Dr. Thompson and our team. We will walk you through every step of the process and answer any questions you may have, and we promise not to recommend any treatment that we wouldn’t accept ourselves.
We’re happy to offer sedation options to help ease your anxiety and make your appointment relaxed and comfortable. We can use one or a combination of methods, including oral sedation, nitrous sedation (laughing gas), and IV sedation to fit your needs. You will be closely monitored while under sedation and the level of sedation can be easily adjusted, depending on the method. With most methods, you will remain generally awake and able to respond to the doctor and team, although you may relax enough to fall asleep. Sedation is not the same as general anesthesia, although it does produce some amnesic effects – you won’t remember much of the details and your appointment will be over before you know it.
With sedation, we can perform routine exams and cleanings to more complex treatments including dental implants and reconstructions in a single visit, saving you time, money, anxiety, and another trip to the dentist. Don’t let your fear of the dentist affect your quality of life.
Hybridge® is a full mouth restoration permanently supported on dental implants, placed on the upper jaw, lower jaw, or both. This gives patients all the benefits of dental implants, as well as a fully functioning, beautiful set of permanent teeth.
The Hybridge® Full Arch is different from conventional implants that are usually covered with porcelain crowns or bridgework. The protocol has been perfected to result in a fast, cost-effective approach to the treatment of missing or decaying teeth. With the cross-linked PMMA teeth, chrome cobalt bridge materials, and pink acrylic mimicking your gum tissue, the finished product is an extremely strong, natural looking, beautiful smile that can last your lifetime.
Patients that have been told they're ineligible for dental implants have been approved for Hybridge® prosthetic restorations. Hybridge® restorations can help you return to full dental function for less than half the cost of conventional implant bridgework, and often in a fraction of the time.
The Hybridge® protocol has been taught only to dentists across the country that are leaders in the field of dental implants, and Dr. Thompson happens to be on that list. If you have any questions regarding Hybridge® or any other dental service, we’d love to hear from you!
Is Hybridge® an option for all ages?
Hybridge® patient ages have ranged from 21-93. If your overall health is good, you may be ideal for Hybridge® prosthetic restorations. Cigarette smoking will extend the healing time after a Hybridge® procedure. If you can break the habit, your overall health will improve and your smile will thank you!
How long is the Hybridge® treatment process?
The duration of your treatment will depend upon if you’re starting with or without teeth, if bone grating is required, whether you’re receiving an upper or lower Hybridge®, or if any dental infections are present at the time of treatment. The time between your first surgical procedure and final insertion of the Hybridge® could be between 3 to 16 weeks long. For the rare cases that require bone grafting, treatment time may extend past the 16 weeks. Dr. Peter Thompson will develop a treatment sequence that helps you plan around personal obligations and appointments.
What if I’m only missing one tooth?
Traditionally, replacing a single tooth would require a bridge, which usually would require the removal of healthy tooth structure on either side to fix the bridge in place. As dental techniques and technology advance, we are always looking for more conservative approaches to help keep your natural teeth healthy and intact for as long as possible. A Hybridge® single tooth dental implant not only maintains the integrity of surrounding teeth but offers all of the wonderful benefits of a dental implant at the same time.
If you’re embarrassed and hiding your smile because of crooked teeth, Dr. Thompson has an ideal solution for you with Invisalign®!
Invisalign® uses a series of custom clear aligners that gently and comfortably shift teeth into their desired position, without unsightly metal brackets and wires.
We use advanced digital technology to take impressions without the mouth full of goop, and we can take care of all of your oral health needs conveniently under one roof.
Whether you had braces when you were younger and your teeth have shifted over time, or you’re considering straightening your smile for the first time, there’s no better time than the present to get the beautifully straight smile you deserve.
Invisalign is highly effective in treating a wide variety of alignment issues including crooked teeth, crowding, gapped teeth, spaces, rotated teeth, overbite, underbite, crossbite, and more.
How does Invisalign® work?
Dr. Thompson creates a series of custom aligners specifically for you, to move your teeth as required. These aligners, which are virtually invisible, are made of a thermoplastic material uniquely designed for the Invisalign treatment plan, and look similar to teeth whitening trays. Each set is worn for approximately two weeks before moving on to the next set of aligners in the treatment plan Dr. Thompson has outlined for you.
How often do I wear my aligners?
Dr. Thompson recommends that you wear your Invisalign tray for 20-22 hours a day, and only remove them to eat, drink, brush and floss.
Will wearing Invisalign® aligners affect my speech?
Invisalign® may temporarily affect your speech; some people may have a slight lisp for a day or two. However, as you get used to having the aligner in your mouth, any lisp caused should disappear.
Does insurance cover Invisalign®?
Medical benefits vary from policy to policy, so Dr. Thompson’s office recommends reviewing your coverage and checking with your insurance provider to confirm whether it is covered. In general, if a patient has orthodontic coverage, Invisalign® should be covered to the same extent as traditional braces.
Does Invisalign® really work?
Yes! Over 1.5 million people with a wide variety of dental alignment challenges have been treated with Invisalign®; it was developed by orthodontists and is used in dental and orthodontic practices worldwide.

"When I found Doctor Thompson, you could honestly say I was at my end. All hope of ever having a normal pain-free life was entirely out of reach and there was no way anyone could possibly help me. I had been repeatedly let down by doctors, specialists, and dentists I had been to. I was convinced these people were only there to hurt you and take your money.. Not actually sit down with you and help you..."
"I first came to Dr. Thompson’s office in January of 2010. I had been having headaches due to muscular tension in my jaw.
